Cook with Ease

The full-service kitchen includes a full-sized refrigerator, oven/stove, dishwasher,
                 garbage disposal, microwave oven, air fryer, and toaster.  Full service cookware,
                 utensils, a spice rack, and dishes/bowls/mugs/glasses are all included as well.
                 The kitchen also features an oversized counter and rolling island for food prep.

Other Features

2-level ultra-private, partly covered, expansive deck with forest views is available for the exclusive use of guests, with a door leading directly from the living room.

The master bathroom features an oversized, triangle-shaped jetted tub, along with a glass shower enclosure.  This bathroom also has stereo sound system speakers in the ceiling.

The apartment features 7 oversized (5'x5') view windows. A laundry room with separate washer and dryer, laundry tub sink, and side table are provided.

The driveway offers exclusive access to the apartment, and supports 2 cars.

Explore the Outdoors

Step out onto your expansive private deck adjoining the forest or take a short trip to any of these close-by parks:

  • Kittredge Park (great playground) - walking distance

  • O'Fallon Park (pleasant meadow next to Bear Creek) - 3 minutes away

  • Corwina Park (creek-side hiking trail leading to a view of a stone castle) - 4 minutes away

  • Lair O' the Bear Park (extensive picnic facilities and hiking trails) - 7 minutes away

  • Pence Park (heavily forested mountain hiking trails leading to vistas over 8000' altitude) - 10 minutes away

Rugged Bear Creek canyon offers fishing at various points along Bear Creek.  Rt. 73, which hugs this canyon, is itself very popular with cyclists and motorcycle riders.

The town of Evergreen (3 miles away) is a resort town with quaint and rustic shops, restaurants, art stores, saloons, and a short boardwalk.  Evergreen Lake, within walking distance of the town, is a beautiful mountain lake with a scenic walking path around one side of the lake and a golf course on the other side.  Paddle boat and kayak rentals are supported in the summer, while ice fishing and ice skating are popular in the winter.

Experience a productive workday with a small dedicated office space that includes a 4' office table with shelves, a separate book rack, and a comfortable professional office chair.  The office space features a series of 5' windows with forest views. Enjoy high-quality sound throughout the suite. The integrated audio system features a universal 3.5mm (aux) input, making it easy to plug in and play music directly from your laptop, tablet, or phone. For entertainment, the suite is equipped with two oversized Smart TVs—both featuring Roku streaming for all your favorite apps.

Local Peace of Mind

As on-site owners living on the first floor, we are here to ensure your stay is trouble-free. From snow removal to local recommendations, you have the security of a managed property with the privacy of a separate entrance. The hosts have lived on this property for close to 30 years.  This is a very low crime area. There are no street lights and no sidewalks.  It is secluded and has a natural feel. We often have deer, elk, foxes, and raccoons roaming through the surrounding forest, as well as a variety of birdlife, occasionally including hummingbirds and wild turkeys. There are a variety of services in the towns of Kittredge and Evergreen, and 2 major hospitals which are only 30 minutes away.

Booking Policies & Guest Information

Choosing a mid-term residency requires a clear understanding of local guidelines and property expectations. To ensure a seamless stay, please review our standard rental parameters below:

Residency Terms & Leasing

  • 30-Day Minimum: In compliance with local county regulations, our private suite is exclusively available for mid-term residencies of 30 days or longer.

  • Lease Agreement: Colorado law treats mid-term stays under standard residential leasing guidelines. All guests are required to sign a formal residential lease agreement prior to check-in.

  • Flexible Extensions: To keep stays manageable, we offer initial lease terms of 30 to 60 days. If you require an extended stay, a new lease agreement can be established for the subsequent period (subject to calendar availability).

  • Payment & Deposits: Total payment for the lease period is due either prior to or at the time of check-in. We require a standard security deposit; however, we do not charge additional cleaning fees. Deposits are fully refundable immediately following a brief departure inspection, less any assessed damages. For guests extending into a consecutive lease, the deposit rolls over, and a mid-stay cleaning can be arranged.

Occupancy & Pets

  • Ideal Occupancy: The suite features one private master bedroom with a premium queen bed, making the space best suited for one or two adults. While bedding is optimized for a single-bedroom layout, we are happy to discuss accommodations for unique circumstances on a case-by-case basis.

  • Pet Policy: We maintain a generally pet-free environment to preserve the condition of the suite, but we are open to making exceptions depending on the situation. Please reach out to discuss your specific needs.

Winter Access & Logistics (November – April)

Nestled in the mountains, our property experiences authentic Colorado winter conditions. Between November and April, driving and walking access can involve snow and ice. For your safety and convenience, we require that winter guests are comfortable navigating mountain terrain and drive a front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive vehicle equipped with high-quality snow or all-season tires.
